I guess you don’t know any straight edge/teetotaler men in their 60s (of younger) who simply died from a heart attack that came out of nowhere. I know far too many men who died that way.

I also know plenty of alcoholics/addicts still living in their 70s.

Life is a crapshoot.

I am still guessing drugs - and guessing it was his first show on the tour and he partied too much. That said - it does seem like he had two siblings who died young - so I suppose it is possible it was natural causes. I liked him & I was sorry to hear that he died.

If Saget did have a heart attack, and hadn't have happened to be alone at the time, maybe there would have been a different outcome. Sad.

+1 My FIL would have never survived his first heart attack at 68 if he hadn’t already been in the hospital recovering from knee surgery.

I'm sure his social media would. I think a lot of celebrities are/were in more desperate times during Covid than people realize. Especially living in CA with the HCOL.

And Saget basically had only one show he was known for that went off the air more than two decades ago.

While I knew he was in his sixties, I always thought he seemed rather youthful so I admit that I was shocked to hear that he had passed.

Seems too soon.
If he was well enough to do a two-hour set for a live audience - then I wonder what killed him?
He doesn’t seem the type to take his own life > so am wondering if he accidentally OD’d??

Whatever caused his untimely death I hope he is completely at peace now. 🕊🕊🕊

When you do copious amount of drugs and drink booze like a fish, it eventually catches up to you and your heart gives out, even if you do quit drugs and alcohol. I'm betting heart failure.

65 is not old. It's just starting to get old.

Your favorite recent president is either 75 or 79 and they aren't dead. Equal numbers on each side probably wish they were but they aren't, they are basically going strong, and Bob Saget is dead at 65.


65 is a senior citizen and the beginning of being old for those who are still alive, but it is relatively young to die. I’m 48, so definitely not young among the living, but if I died today, people would say I was so young…for a dead person.

P.S. My favorite recent president is 60. Biden and Trump are both clearly in decline.

He killed his role on Entourage. That is my favorite Bob Saget role. He was so funny and raunchy and insane. He seemed like a really good, fun dude.

Betty White and Sidney Poitier we’re old. Saget was relatively young.


+1. 65 is young to die in 2022 America. RIP, I have wonderful memories eating pizza and watching Full House on Friday nights as a kid. This one is hitting me hard for some reason.


SAME. I am very much of the TGIF/Full House generation. I was basically Stephanie's age and my parents and their friends were the same age as the main adults in the show. Friday night was TGIF and pizza and Sunday night was AFV. I think AFV got moved to another night at some point, but I remember watching it on Sundays when I was like 7 or 8.

This makes me realize my own dad is at an age where he could pass away suddenly. My grandfather (his dad) died unexpectedly at 67 from an aortic aneurysm. It feels too young especially now that I am not a kid.


Aortic aneurysm can be based on hereditary. Be sure to get your dad and yourself checked. See a cardiac specialist and they should order a simple catscan to determine if one exists.
