Legacy system is just another tool of racial subordination. I hope they all get rejected.

My BFF is double legacy for Harvard (that's where her parent met). Both she and her sister got in early. No hesitation.

At our school, while the ED admits definitely included legacy kids, overall many legacy kids were deferred. And all of the legacy kids, accepted or deferred, were really strong candidates.

I'm surprised you took this as gospel. Sounds like it was just easier for your DC to process that only legacies had a real shot from his school.

She was not a legacy to Harvard College. they went to Columbia and Princeton. HLS does not count so maybe you should think before you rant!

That's a soft rejection.
Except for when it's not... tons of legacy kids get deferred and any of those kids ultimately get accepted. Fairly common.
