Yeah but the Amy adams version is the one that follows the book - this was an odd attempt at parody of that version - hence the title…

It was two things: One, that's what she said throughout the show every time she stumbled on a clue. Two, it meant that the woman existed even though everyone was telling her there was no woman.
It might be an allusion to one of those "woman in the/girl in the" books, too, but if so I don't know it.

I liked it. Did take a couple episodes to settle in because the tone and pacing is not what you are expecting. Which is what makes it good.

I love the enormous wine glass that fits almost an entire bottle. Other than that, I haven't been doing too much laughing. I agree with the assessment that they're playing it too straight. And I love Kristin Bell.

I've seen 3 eps and love it. I've read too many of those books and can laugh at myself along with catching so many references.
