Exactly.

They're both inappropriate. It screams bad/ scared parenting. Teach them to dress properly.

Obviously she’s not overly concerned with being fashionable and I’m certainly not going to micromanage what she wears - it’s her choice. But I’m just wondering if she’s the only one?
Actually that is what’s fashionable these days.
No, it’s not.
Anonymous wrote:Nope. We don't leave the house in PJs or come downstairs to breakfast in PJs. This goes for the adults as well. Also we never let our kids leave the house in non matching, ill fitting, or dirty clothing. Now as teens they don't do this either. Parents have made fun of me for years because I was so rigid about the appropriate clothing but now as teens they know how to dress appropriately for an event without being told. Oh and yes, they picked out their own clothing since they were young but we didn't hesitate to ask them to change before leaving the house. We also insisted the proper shoes were worn as well

Pot meet kettle.
Guess your kid wears these to school 🤡
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Nah, we all did it in college and I still do it now occasionally. my dd did it in HS too and does it in college. It is a fashion statement in its own right.
Totally fine, let her be comfy before she starts some job as an adult and has to wear some horrible suit with shoulder pads
It’s not a fashion statement. It’s lazy.

Anonymous wrote:I’d say that 1/3rd of the girls I see at pickup wear PJ bottoms.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:My FIL lives on the UES in NYC. Sunday mornings, all the rich people are running out to get coffee in their pajama bottoms and they have been doing this since the mid-90s.
Seriously...doesn't everyone do this? I'm a lazy ass and don't make my own coffee. Each morning I stumble to the coffee shop and get my coffee...in my PJs
I throw over a sweatshirt so my headlights are fully covered. I'm definitely not the only one in bed attire.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Honestly the kids who do this TEND to be the kids who have depression or are on the verge of. The “I give up caring” kids. It may just be my daughter’s school…but it’s definitely a certain crowd that does this.
It’s just your kid’s school. I teach HS and all sorts of kids - straight A students, athletes, art/theater kids, etc - are all wearing pajama bottoms. It’s certainly not a sign of depression or kids who have given up.

What are you talking about? Are you drunk or something?
