pp here-- he's at a private school and they have them take the PSAT freshman and sophomore year-- I was surprised too, but it's a college prep school, so that's just what they're doing. We didn't make a big deal out of the test and neither did the school. I suppose it makes sense that if Freshman grades are going on a college transcript that they should also be thinking about standardized test scores.

My kid received an 1170. Not up to DCUM standards but still perfectly acceptable.


Our sophomore got an 1150. Decent. Hoping with prep he can get an SAT of 1350+.

Mine is a freshman and got an 1120-- decent math score, but reading/writing in 70th percentile. I looked at his pattern on the answer key and it's clear he wasn't able to finish so hopefully, this will come up with practice. I dunno...he's a good student, but has to work hard.

Just to make others feel better, my junior got a 1070. She doesn't test well.

Her older sister got a 1450 on SAT, so yeah, it's a contrast.

This is fine. She'll do some prep and get into the best college she can that fits her. She'll be just fine.

Provided you’re in HS for 4 years. If you’re in for 3’or 5, it’s usually the year before you finish, I think.

We have. It says score is still pending. Tried all the the tricks from vpn to Khan Academy.


We got the email and logged into College Board. Used the code from the email and still nothing. Also, birthdate is wrong. Oh well.

No way 1280 is 97 percentile for a junior.


I think something is off about the percentages. My neighbor’s daughter got an 1170 and it says 89%. That’s hard to believe.

Not sure about that, he is targeting top 60 or so (ie UMDCP) no FA but can’t afford 70k colleges


I believe Fordham is a full ride - if this is of interest.
