That's a lot of A+ grades. Your kids definitely don't go to my kids' school!

They really were not hard for my kids who barely ever did homework, I kept hearing stories of kids doing homework until 1 AM with all these APs, and that was just never even close to the reality. Was it our school, maybe? But they did well on the exams too so seems like it was enough preparation.

Our FCPS high school hardly gives As in most higher level classes.

I have a Sophomore who has taken AP Computer Science Principles, and is currently taking AP Psych and AP Seminar. All have been manageable and not his hardest classes, although I’ve seen the vocabulary for AP Psych and it’s A LOT! It’s more like a bio class. He likes it. I also like the seminar class. We pushed for him to take it because I don’t think his school does enough writing. He calls it English 2. But he’s doing well in it, and I like that it focuses on current events, research and public presentations.

Next year he will take AP English, AP Physics, AP Computer Science A, and AP Research. He’ll be in honor pre-calc or whatever that class is because he was in private middle so didn’t accelerate as fast as some of the public students.

I’m not having him do APUSH with all of those other APs. He will do honors. I’ve heard it’s notoriously difficult. Collegeconfidential.com is a good site to ask about how students have perceived various APs. I’m confused about freshmen taking APUSH. I’m not in NOVA, but I’m in VA and I don’t know how they would do that unless they took World History 1 as an 8th grader and then WH2 in summer school?
