It's really a bigger issue. POC of color and young people are most likely to be pulled over, arrested or get a criminal record from weed. The law shouldn't go back to that.
maybe if they voted it would be a moot issue
You do understand that Virginia does not allow POC and people under 30 to vote. Why are you so dumb?

Yes, of course, start locking people up again for MJ possession and use simply because YOU don't like the product they're using.
What’s wrong with that?
Plenty of people here on DCUM would like to see ME locked up because my H and I own rifles they don’t like. How is me wanting users of super-weed locked up any different than that?
You wanna get stoned? Knock yourself out. But you’ll have to do it with less potent weed than the crazy-high THC stuff that’s currently out there. In my generation, most weed was 2-5% THC. That was fine. Now? It’s 12-20%. That’s an almost entirely different drug in terms of its psychoactive effect on users. That is a real problem for me because I see the kids in my classes who are using this stuff and they are profoundly impaired in ways that were unheard of when I was their age and smoking ditch weed.

Since most people are somewhere close to the middle of the bell curve when it comes to intelligence, most of them really don’t have much room to backslide before they start to hit the downslope of the left side of the curve.
And why would this be a bad thing for republicans? Make tons of money while making people dumber is their brand.

Anonymous wrote:Look at how Florida brought in medical marijuana. The industry is dominated by Republican insiders and cronies. They issue very few licenses and a bunch of GOP donors scooped them up. It's basically a cartel and the industry funnels money back to the state GOP apparatus. And, of course, you're not allowed to grow your own in Florida.
