I really encourage use of these for anyone who has time flexibility or needs location convenience - hope it smooths out for others.
Unfortunately at Takoma we waited 4 hours with one child.
The other child (who was not available yesterday) I was able to book for this Sunday at Giant at 7 a.m. Saturday.
Lots of openings if you can drive to Hyatsville or enter in another zip code and search. As of now openings 11/8-11/14.

Of all the CVS/Walgreens (systems had nothing or dysfunctional - said had an appointment then it went away quickly) the Giant was super easy to use.
They say: Enter the ZIP Code for the area near where you want your appointment. This does not have to be the ZIP Code for your home address, your billing address, or any other particular address. You can use the ZIP Code for any area where you want to search for appointments, which may be near your home, your place of work, or some other convenient location.
This is helpful - I just scheduled my kids appointments for Tuesday afternoon at a Giant! Question — did you go ahead and schedule the second shot too?? Or are you supposed to make it after getting the first dose??
Giant told us to just come back in 3 weeks. No appointment needed.

You'll need to make it after you get the first dose to space out the 3 weeks. They probably won't let you say "I'm getting my first dose tomorrow" as they ask the date of your first shot to book #2. And your question made me seriously consider could I make both shot 1 and 2 back to back. You could try... but I suspect book shot 2 after shot 1.

Anonymous wrote:We went to Ft Stanton pop up yesterday and received the vaxx. It was pretty organized and wasn’t a crazy line. Do we set up second dose independently or will DC Health contact us to schedule?
Anonymous wrote:The Takoma pop up yesterday only had 3 nurses administering shots which is why the line was moving so slowly. Ridiculous.
I believe the pop ups yesterday were the first so hopefully DH Health gets their act together for the next ones.
