I disagree. I think OP has an illegitimate problem. Are there any lawyers who can chime in?

I am too lazy to read all six pages of this. Op, why does the coffee being decaf matter?

Our county hosts a hazardous materials disposal day once or twice a year. Maybe yours does too?

Page 6 and no one has suggested that OP is to put the coffee in a Contigo travel mug and bury it at least 8 feet below ground level? That's what I do. That way it doesn't seep out and contaminate the yard, nor can wild animals or pets dig it up and play with it.

No, milk is much worse.

You learn something new on DCUM sometimes. Looks like milk in the drain is bad. “ This is because milk requires adequate oxygen to be broken down, denying other organisms the air they need for survival. Even worse, large quantities of milk can suffocate the entire ecosystem.”

Except the stuff that goes down the drain in your house goes to a water treatment plant before being released into the wild. There are no fish at the wastewater treatment plant, and in fact, bacteria are used as part of the secondary treatment of water. I have no idea what that article was referring to... thousands of gallons from a dairy?

Untreated wastewater goes straight into the waterways every time it rains, here.

Not from your house, dear... It is runoff from the sidewalks.

If you feel that untreated sewage is entering the waterways, please have a talk with your government officials.

NP. You need to talk to DC. It's better but not completely fixed.

Guess I am lucky to live somewhere with functioning infrastructure AND a functioning government.

It's not luck, see Charles Tiebout.

I’m much too busy and important to dispose of my own coffee. I use Task Rabbit. Stop being cheap. Also, you’re a terrible person if your coffee isn’t ethically sourced.

DP but I hate when people on DCUM are both patronizing and wrong. Go research combined sewer overflows and then rejoin the conversation. And please don’t suggest “having a talk with gov’t officials” when they are all aware of the problems and it’s taken lawsuits and millions of dollars to start addressing it.

Dear.
