Um, other kids.
Everyone knows who was suspended for stealing something from a bathroom recently.
Everyone knows which boys cyber-bullied a girl a couple years back. Screenshots were circulated.
These racist incidents hit WaPo, everybody is talking about it yet nobody has leaked a name, gender or race? That’s weird. Really weird.
Nobody expects the WaPo to name names, but it’s really strange that students don’t know.
Could you please just go ahead and tell us your explanation for this weird phenomenon you are describing?
?
I don’t have an explanation. That’s the point: everyone is baffled as to why seemingly nobody knows who did what. As others have said, everyone is talking about it, yet nobody knows who was involved. Very unusual.
I mean I don’t think it’s mysterious kids aren’t as sure of the identity of someone shouting words in a loud crowd vs stealing a urinal or whatever.
There aren’t large crowds at girls games. Regardless, this sort of news that everyone is trying to determine is hard to keep a secret. Kids talk. So do parents.

Reading about Sherwood which I'd never heard of until now makes me very happy to have avoided that Olney area in house shopping
Tell us your zip code and school pyramid, and we can do a quick google search to find similar incidents in your neck of the woods.
Everyone is right to be upset. This is clearly inappropriate behavior. But it’s really weird how people are labeling the school (and now the entire area) as some racist outlier.
Actually the area we live is diverse and people tend to be very respectful of each other here. I didn't want to live in a more homogenous area because incidents like what's going on in Sherwood tend to happen.
The area where I live in Olney is similarly diverse and people tend to be respectful of each other.
It’s really weird that everyone has assumed rich white kids were involved and the entire school and surrounding towns are universally racist.
Tell me your zip code and school, and I’m positive we can enlighten you on recent incidents where stupid kids said/did stupid racist things. Would that make your entire school and surrounding area racist?
I don't consider Olney a rich area. It's middle class, as is Einstein. Olney and that part of the county is majority white, and not much diversity, and that's where racist/intolerant incidents like what's going on in Sherwood tend to happen.
Define racism.
Now look in the mirror when you make these assumptions about a group based on single events. Get it?

A few privileged kids (who, btw, we don't the race of the offenders), act like a-holes, and people here want the full season cancelled and staff fired.
You guys are crazy
Three incidents over a week or so from the same school directed at Einstein
and no adult did a dam* thing about it when it was happening.
Anonymous wrote:MCPS, why aren't you answering important questions.
How have you allowed the Sherwood principal to get away with the nothing apology and take so little action?
Why haven't the perps been identified? They should be suspended.
Sherwood has a higher percentage of Asians than Einstein. How are Asian Americans at Sherwood reacting and what is the principal doing to address this?
Why isn't MCPS talking about body shaming, stereotyping and sexism behind some of the remarks?
What are you doing more broadly to address racism against Asian Americans in MCPS? Where is the BOE on this? They have been all for equity and diversity but Asian Americans have been left out of all the discussion except for when people including the BOE makes disparaging remarks.
