Just one five year old, so pretty simple and I’m done shopping.

He has no other ideas. Anything else will be the ideas given to aunts and grandparents. Left space for one more gift from us, if there is something he suddenly really wants last minute

We got a digital piano. Although it was more than $2k the kids play it every single day and are getting to be so good at it. Absolutely the best purchase I’ve made. And to put the cost into perspective, it was less than the living room sofa next to it.

My kids are 12 (boy), 9 (almost 10 - boy), and 6 (almost 7 - girl). I need ideas!

One gift is always books and PJ. I ordered the PJs - still working on the books.

12 year old - I will get some yugioh and magic the gathering cards - i will go to a local comic book store to get them.

10 year old - I did buy NCAP pajama pants and sweatshirt for him that I am going to try to pass off as a gift - so maybe I'll get the other two some clothes too.

Maybe I will get them all one lego thing each.

I would love to add something to our house that would be fun to play with friends - but I don't know what would be that would not take up too much room. Open to outdoor activity ideas too.

We get all our softball stuff at Dicks or order online from Hibbett Sports.

For bikes we usually shop at area bike stores for midrange, like Trek. If you really get lucky you can find a refurbished one for cheaper than Walmart prices.

I have 5 and 3 year old boys. Getting the 3 yr old a kid size wheelbarrow, shovel, and watering can for our backyard which is all mulch. 5 yr old is getting a desk and chair for his room. They are both getting the Hess holiday truck. Getting a sit on excavator and big construction trucks for the backyard as a joint gift.

FWIW, the most played with toys in our house are the matchbox garbage trucks. They each have one.

For your daughter, go to a toy store like Childs Play Toys (if you're in DC) and pretty much a quarter of the store is pink and unicorn stuff that she'll love. Soooo much stuff, especially in arts and crafts and small unicorn sets, Playmobil, etc.

Also, at that age, it’s important to somewhat match physical size/ number of presents but they have no sense of how much things cost. We already have a scooter and balance bike (all were originally gifts for DC1, so while she could get her own, that just feels like a ridiculous waste). A beanbag chair could be an interesting option, just not sure where it would fit in her room…

NP and I hear you- my youngest turns 3 in December plus has so much stuff from our older kid that I'm struggling to come up with ideas. In our case she has a balance bike that was originally DC1's but not a scooter so we are going to get her a scooter for her birthday but now I need Christmas ideas and ideas for the grandparents too. Sha already has a pottery barn chair courtesy of the grandparents from last year.

The Rody was, and continues to be, a big hit in our house.
