I can't imagine how you can call yourself a competent parent but remain afraid to go into a class of 20 eleven year olds and calling them thugs while participating in a year long anonymous smear campaign against teachers.

The irony is palpable. If you had put this much effort into being a parent, many of those issues would have been resolved.

My child went to a private school this year. I googled the teacher. Taught at an APS elementary school last year.

wow, your teaches must have messed up pretty badly to teach high school with a PhD

Pretty sure working at a top New England boarding school isn't considered a crappy job.

LOL. If you actually attended a "top" NE boarding school you wouldn't be equating it with the crap private schools around here.

There are a few of us responding (shocker!). There are some very good private schools in the DC area, and even the mediocre ones are SO much better than APS.

What % of science teachers at the DC-area privates do you think have a PhD?

Not sure. Have you spent time today researching this? And I’m not concerned if they have a PhD or not. There are many with bachelors and masters degrees with work experience in their fields. Much better than someone who majored in coloring. (I mean seriously, I remember reading that UMD requires a 2.5 gpa to major in education. Not impressive at all.)
