It's probable kids will eventually bring Covid home from school and he will be much more susceptible than if he was vaccinated.
I'm not a Fed, but I am a contractor. We will also be required to be vaccinated.
I would start preparing to leave now OP. Consult a lawyer, figure out what housing you can afford, and start making plans. If this is a hill he is going to die on, he will be unemployed soon. He will also contract Covid soon.

I'm pretty surprised at the number of people who think this post is fake...I think a lot of people don't understand what it is like to be married to someone with this belief, and I figured that I'm not the only spouse of a Fed or a Fed contractor in this situation. I completely agree with you about the unbelievable level of self-absorption involved in choosing not to get vaccinated. However, my feelings don't really matter here because they are not changing anything for the better! But I think I'm not getting more helpful advice in this thread because readers that have experience that could be helpful may not be bothering to respond to a post they assume is a troll. I can and will consult an attorney for legal advice, but I was hoping for something more practical. Anyway, I appreciate your sympathy.

Him taking out extra life insurance and short and long term disability insurance on himself would be one of my stipulations for staying. Mainly in order to protect the kids future from being absorbed by his medical bills if he is unlucky.
They will get his social security, retirement, etc. OP wants to divorce, so get divorced areaway. This has nothing to do with covid.
Dp you are wrong. When Your partner is making major decisions that could upend your whole family life it’s very difficult. And yes he is very smart and a good dad. It’s like being married to a gambler or addict. It is scary and it’s hard to know how much to support them vs. creating a separate, stable family life for my kids if he decides to continue down this path that I believe is completely wrong. I’m hoping counseling will help us but the wedge just keeps growing.
And he believes you are wrong. His body, his choice. Get a divorce since you want one.

OMG my college roommate is an ICU doctor and she says she has had so many pregnant women die in her care the last two months. It is devastating her. And it is calm agonizing way to die.

Yes. Meanwhile I have friends who got the shot while pregnant and breastfed who have babies that have Covid antibodies, literally the only way to get some antibodies in a baby that young at the moment. Seems like a no brainer to me to get the shot.

Looking at CDC stats, a 50 year old GS-15 has a chance of dying from it, if infected, of around 4 in a thousand (.004). Probably less.
Doesn't mean it won't happen to him. Some people are just particularly unlucky, look at all the rabid antimaskers and right wing radio personalities who have died in the other thread about it.
That 4 in a thousand means someone is going to be those 4 people, and many more will end up with "long Covid." The best outcome is that he loses his job, the worst that he ends up unemployed and disabled from long Covid and he is a burden on his family.
