And the Petito family statement in response is heartbreaking. How infuriating for them to read that absolute drivel from him/his attorney.

Someone posted this on websleuths:
"The lawyer, Bertolini, lives in Bayport, NY, the same town where the Laundries lived (Gabby and Brian went to Bayport-Blue Point High School). Bertolini is a very general practitioner - the kind of guy you'd hire for a traffic ticket, not a serious criminal defense lawyer. I'm guessing he was someone the parents knew from their years on Long Island and not who would ultimately handle the case if charges are filed. That may also be why the statement was such a non-statement. It's the sort of thing you'd write if you were a temporary caretaker who didn't really know what to do but you know you need to do something because all of the major networks and national media are on the story and camped outside your client's house."

I still can't get a grip on his age but he looks at least late 20s and she just turned 22.
Apparently he's between 21-23 just like her. Her mother says they went to the same high school.
'They went to high school together. They were friends. They got back in touch and started dating,' she said.

Are pics like what is on the missing poster staged? They are all so good. Does it take all sorts of posing and planning or is she just super photogenic?
And I just realized I was in the Tetons/Yellowstone the same week they were supposed to be.

A satellite-enabled device is a must in case of a breakdown in an area with no cell service- which is almost all parts of national parks in the west. (SPOT is even mentioned in Nomadland when the main character gets a flat tire.)
I haven't seen any mention on this sort of device in the news, only that they were in areas with no cell service. Assuming they had one, it should be pretty easy to determine where they were and how long they (or he) spent in various locations on his way back to FL.
