Do you really think BB's mother is going to allow her to see the child after all this time? Let's be realistic here. The child will probably remain with BB's mother if she is comfortable there and CB's parents will hopefully get visitation.


You are not the gatekeeper of discussion here. Today is the first time I have mentioned her w/r to the child. There are obviously many posters here. She posts about Christine often on her SM.

This is honestly what hurts me the most about this. I’m projecting, of course, but if my DH murdered me, the pain would be a million times compounded if my son had to only have contact with his horrible family. My family is the one he is closest to and has the deepest ties to and affection for. Losing my son for all of them would be even worse than losing me, and it would greatly compound the loss to my son. I don’t know anything about Banfield’s mother but if she is behind keeping the child’s maternal parents from her, then she is nearly as evil as her son.


The would hopefully do what is in the best interest of your son. Regardless as to how different extended family members felt about it. Kids are not pawns used to punish people or reward other people. They are not the monetary prize in a civil suit. They are humans and people who use kids as pawns to punish or reward adults are terrible. Across the board. So that includes adults keeping kids away from family members who love them, but it includes people who advocate for removing a child from a relatives home as punitive justice for that relative.

I completely agree but child custody isn’t determined because of revenge or payback it is theoretically determined by what is in the best interest of the child (theoretically of course). It’s not a made for TV special. And family court seems to lean towards keeping the status quo to disrupt the kids less in cases like this where a kid has been taken care of by a relative for the past year while the parent was sick/ in jail/ whatever. And is that parent isn’t coming back- the courts tend to keep the kid where they are. This is obviously an extenuating case but 1) it’s none of our business 2) no one here knows if the child is strongly bonded to BBs mom at this point after everyone else has disappeared in her life 3) BBs mom hasn’t actually been charged with a crime (yet) 4) the court will likely allow both sets of grandparents some visitation no matter who has primary physical custody 5) it’s none of our business and 6) it’s none of our business.

I was livid when BB made those (obviously false) statements about Christine and the files she would bring home from work. It didn’t occur to me that some of those victims could be watching or learn of this through the media.

You make a great point, PP and I do hope that not only CB’s employers reached out to reassure the victims, but also that CB’s years of work in this area and her reputation helped to reassure them that it was just another lie in BB’s long line of heinous lies.

No, you must have a reading comprehension issue. I am the poster who is posted the screenshots multiple times and I specifically said it was in a hearing. It’s not hearsay, it was sworn statements in a hearing leading up to the trial. You are under oath during a hearing.


You don't need to insult me. On the previous page someone wrote this, and it was not clear they were referring to the hearing, as they mentioned it in a list of other things that were admitted at trial. I also never said anything about hearsay.
