I would guess that this tragedy will influence the decisions of pilots of helicopters and also airplanes for many years to come, so at least there's that.
Yes. There will be many such legacies of Kobe. Some good will come out of that. But please stop with #girldad. Want to be a great dad to a girl then treat the mother with respect.
????
You realize that the Vanessa and Kobe have been great for the last 7 years, right? That has zero to do with him being a good dad.
Divorced parents can both be good parents, you bigot.
They were not divorced. She married a compulsive adulterer. Not a great exAmple to the daughters. The youngest might be only 7 months, but the oldest is 17 years old. Old enough to understand and to browse the internet. Heck, in two years she will be the same age as kobe's victim at the time of violent rape or rough sex cheating.... whatever you want to call it. #neverTHISdad
He cheated ONE time. Learn what compulsive means, you moron.
You’re worried about her daughters reading stuff online about yet you’re trashing him so now his daughters get the pleasure of reading how dummies like you think. Just exposing more of your white supremacist views.

As a sexual assault survivor, it maddens me that we are supposed to believe all women regardless of the facts that come out. I don’t know any woman that is going to have for sexual sex within 24 hours AFTER being raped (wearing the same underwear) and then go get examined while still wearing the same underwear. This woman who ended up pregnant (what like 6 weeks later), was an opportunist and makes it harder to believe true victims. Same with the Duke Lacrosse “victim”. Kobe was an adulterer, but he certainly didn’t rape that woman and for that to be a part of his story days after his death with his daughter is very sad.

Meh!!.Messed up women with low self esteem go and sleep with these guys. Look at the sex slaves of R Kelley. This was not a quality woman but kobe was not really attracting the high educated Amal Clooney kind of women. She was only 19. 2 years older than his eldest daughter is right now.
She was also obsessed with sleeping with someone famous. If you look at the interviews with her best friend from back when it happened, KF had put her sights on sleeping with Eminem. She went to great lengths to find his schedule and what hotels he was staying at and would drive hours to try and meet him and get to his room - all unsuccessful. She knew famous people sometimes stayed at the lodge where she wanted to work - she was a pre social media influencer wanna be. She tried out for American Idol and tried to meet famous people. I am not saying that any of that means someone can't still be assaulted but there was a lot of leg work on her part that had been done before she lucked out that day at work and went to Kobe's room. Assault or not, I think this influencer mindset was why she bragged about it to people after the fact. It didn't go the way she had expected but it was still a claim to fame.

While I am sure that there are *some* famous athletes who never stray, it seems that most do and similar to musicians and their roadies / groupies...infidelity is almost expected and accepted. It is usually kept on the down low as much as possible and likely each spouse has a limit somewhere. It really doesn't seem to be frowned upon the same way it would outside of those circles. It is almost like it is part and parcel of the fame (unless someone consciously opts out).

Anonymous wrote:I think the very sad major story now is not about Kobe but about the pilot and his bad judgement and the company he worked for possibly being also somewhat to blame. Very very sad for everybody involved. It will not soon be "over" and may play out in the courts for years to come.
