Beto has a bachelors and a DWI.
Cohen and Manafort have law degrees too. Lots of respect for the rule of law there.

I wish we required all presidential candidates to have an advanced degree---preferably a JD. Understanding the constitution and respecting the rule of law are critically important skills for those who hold the highest political office IMHO.
As Trump has demonstrated, a wealthy businessman isn't a good fit (too many conflicts of interest; America isn't a corporation).
And let's aim higher than just a "good talker." Yes, we need someone articulate and dynamic. But we really need a career public servant who understands the politics of Washington...without having sold out.
I'm hoping more candidates emerge than those included on that short list.
LOL. No. Lincoln had no formal education. GW Bush II had an MBA from Harvard. Having an advanced degree is not equivalent to respecting the rule of law, as anyone in the military could tell you.
Are you a lobbyist for the ABA? Law degrees are dropping in prestige and relevance every year. And again, you don’t need to have a law degree to respect the law.
Having a JD typically demonstrates respect of the rule of law (or at the very least an understanding of the constitution and the rule of law). Again: MBAs aren't very helpful IMHO since the USA is not a for-profit corporation.

Where’s the politician who speaks Latin, smokes cigars, is old and wise, but can still learn a thing or two from a kick-a staff?!
Maybe hiding a medical issue but we can live with that if he or she makes good decisions.
