My expectations have been so absolutely demolished by this election that I am now BEGGING for Pence. Please give us Pence.

I think of it this way: all the shit we are scared about happening under Pence is going to happen under Trump anyway. But we at least won't get the insanity and flagrant dereliction of duty and custom and law. Pence is at least sane and rational and can read. Bad stuff is coming no matter what, but Pence would be a relative minimum of bad stuff compared to what Trump is capable of.

These are now both the floor and ceiling of expectations and hopes for my president: please at least be sane. That's it.
