Well that does not really seem to be working.
It very much did, but also, the President's fan base will never believe that he's a pedophile, even if the evidence dances naked in front of them; and Trump was always going to temporarily* win against Musk, given he's the President. A fact Musk has since recognized, since he walked back some of his earlier comments.
*Musk has lose this battle but will probably win the war - we'll see in the coming decades what that looks like.
