Brown is also still admitting kids off the waitlist. Someone got off on Reddit for engineering yesterday. A few others got the rejection email.


Just to be clear, Brown has one college in which you can concentrate in Engineering or change to Contemplative Studies - not separate schools

Exactly. Your kid can opt out of the waitlist and move on. But, if other students want to hold onto a sliver of hope until the last possible moment, then so be it. Not to mention, these are unprecedented times right now with what’s happening in higher education generally, to include a lot of uncertainty on the international student front. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with schools continuing to make offers from the waitlist if spots open up.

Harvard took a handful today and told everyone else that the waitlist won't be closed until late in the summer--like August--so kids are welcome to continue on it or drop off now.
