it will be afterwards so they can get the leftovers....I really truly hope you make the better choice for your kid and do not go with your gut on what you think M&D DC will do for you...Pride 22 or 23s, Next Level 26s, many before you were also swayed and it did not work out for them... do not let that happen to your child

Cue the pride and stars parents who are afraid people will choose M&D DC and leave them with even less talent than tbe 28s had to choose from. The 29 pride team isn’t even in NGLL A division. If capital is relying on pride and stars to fill the spots it will struggle.

Wouldn't M&DDC switch out coaches for high school?

M&D DC has something that the pride and stars girls never had going in to high school that would be worth the risk of staying. The recruiting track record is much less of a selling point when you are talking about staying with M&D vis the girls fishing staying with Pride or Stars.

The M&D brand is much stronger than Capital and you don't have the politics of the SSSA piece. This may be the team/club that finally give Capital some competition at the HS level in the DC area.

1) M&D is clearly a bigger/better brand with multiple teams in every age group. In terms of recruiting, which is probably the #1 thing a rising 9th grader should be thinking about when selecting a high school team, Capital is second to none.

2) There are NO SSSA politics anymore. KJ is out of the picture. The 2028 Blue team, which is the most recent team selected, has a whopping two players from SSSA.

Capital takes care of thier kids, especially the Blues. We’re going to tryout for Capital without hesitation. Ideally, M&DDC tryouts are a few days after so players can make decisions based on Capital selections.

Capital used to take care of their kids. The game has changed and Capital has not evolved. They are relying on telling parents to trust the process, but there will be a time when that process no longer works in today’s game. Do you really want to be the experiment of which group they fall short on? You don’t have the luxury of seeing where the 27s and 28s go before you make your decision, but you do have the luxury of Having a comparable option[i][u], which the 27s and 28s never had. People didn’t choose Capital over M&D in the past because it was a better experience , they did it because their was no other local option that was as good. Now there is a competitor that can offer them the same results without the 48 page patent handbook.

WHAT?! based on what is M&D DC comparable?

Possibly! Is that supposed to be a dig? It has a douche tone to it...is your objective to encourage them to Capital or push them away?

Not a dig at all. I was encouraging it and frankly trolling the M&D DC dad that is anti Capital

Is this that same NL parent whose kid was cut last year? Please leave us alone, you found a new lacrosse home.

M&D DC is not the B team for M&D Black. They exist as separate organizations. If the M&D DC girls choose to try out for M&D Black they can, but it also may not be in their best interest to try to break into an established team and earn playing time if they are already a starter on M&D DC. Both teams can co-exist and win without pillaging from each other. A better example than Heros 26 would be coppermine 28s. They tried to bring in all the top talent to an already stacked team and it backfired. M&D DC can be its own branch and be successful without stepping on M&D Black’s toes. I am happy to see them be successful, and I hope it continues and it becomes an option for girls who don’t want to travel to Maryland and don’t want to play for Capital either.

They are entirely separate organizations. Except for the recruiting, where they might as well be cojoined twins. #differentyetthesame

Why does everyone in the DMV believe their kid is going to play college lacrosse?
