I think if the antimaskers had used common sense and masked in grocery stores and pharmacies, the two places where sick people may need to really go, they could have kept the rates down and masks off.
Your stoner friend probably shared a bong or bowl with her dealer. They filled the room with covid filled pot exhaust. Dumb.

We've never had masks required in gyms, ever. Not now, not in June 2020 of last year. I've taken cardio classes with 20-70 people every Sunday, indoors, no masks, and have never gotten covid. I chat face to face with the same people every week, and know they're mostly vaccinated and have been healthy as well week after week.
And you think you're going to get covid walking past an unmasked person at Safeway, while vaccinated? You are nuts.
Some of you really need to step outside of your paranoid bubble, or just isolate yourselves forever. Expecting the rest of the world to indefinitely cover their faces, while being vaccinated and zero indication of being sick with anything... is just deranged. Time to take charge of your own health and stop expecting everyone around you to put on a show for your failing mental health.

No, they're not. Either you're greatly exaggerating, or you're just plain lying.
NP. This might be a tad anecdotal but we were at a VA state park over the weekend. While parking and then getting ready to leave we noticed not a few passengers from cars with MD plates exiting their cars and then very carefully and deliberately masking up - both adults and young people, regardless of age. Outside. To go hiking or exploring. It wasn’t even overly crowded.
Completely and utterly bizarre.
Yes, this is anecdotal but that is my experience as well. They mask up in the parking lot, then maybe pull it down under their chin once they get on the trail, but then it goes right back up if they encounter another hiker.
Ultimately, I don't really care if they do it. It's their faces; why should I care? But I also think that this type of behavior ultimately contributes to the policy making decisions, so I wish the leadership in the community would acknowledge the overkill with behavior like that. And that eventually, people would abandon it and feel more comfortable going without, which would then also trickle down into more reasonable common sense policy.
The leadership knows they can 'get away' with these silly masking decisions because there are so many people like the masked hikers

I see a lot outside too. And not just walking to and from the car, but strolling down the street. Bizarre.
