Eh, I am the poster you're replying to and I am actually not much older than her and I do wear hose instead of tights depending on the outfit. Hose look better with heels and a knee length dress/skirt. They can't be super sheer and, as snobby as this sounds, they have to be high quality. Wolford hose look good; cheap shit you pick up at CVS does not.

Opaque tights look better with short skirts/dresses, flats, and workwear in general. If you are shorter than 5'5" or so, there is no reason for you to be in sheer hose AND flats/boots lol.

She didn't wear her ring, let people talk for a couple days, and then put out a comment through her office that "I'm a mother of young children and I do a lot of dishes and give a lot of baths and sometimes I forget to put my engagement and wedding ring back on."
