referrals are for those who didn't take the test, not for those who scored less than 130 and didn't get into the pool. No?

We are still thinking if to take WISC. Does it make sense?

No one can say definitely if that is enough to get in, I have heard of some getting in with lower scores and some getting rejected with higher scores. But in my opinion...and that is all it is, That profile looks pretty good to me. The 16GBRS and test scores to support the GBRS are very good. I would think a student with this profile would be accepted. [/quote
We had similar scores and submitted WISC and standford binet. Got in. Lol!

I suppose anything is possible, but it is highly, highly doubtful. They probably referred and there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing that.

I don't think anyone is bribing anyone, although I do suspect that some people shop around and have their kid take the WISC more than once to get the score they want.
If I had chosen to have my child take the WISC, I wouldn't have GMU do it. I know that they use grad students (and often first-timers) to administer the test. The kid being tested is essentially a guinea pig for someone to try out their testing skills on. I believe this is why some students have strangely high or strangely low scores after testing at GMU.
