I always hoped Kevin would end up with Sophie, but it seemed pretty final after her mom's funeral.

I am loving Madison, though, and think she and Kevin could be a hoot together.

Seems like Randall has a major thing about being an adopted black child in a white family, like having to prove they made a good investment, but there's a cost in terms of his relationship with Randall (maybe early on it's just that he's bright, but eventually he sees there's something to be gained by that). But what an asshole for not having owned up to what he did before Rebecca announces. Hard to believe the brothers could ever heal a rupture like that argument. Wonder why we never saw Rebecca and Miguel discuss the trial. Maybe he's actually ok with it, gets to have Rebecca more to himself during that time rather than being the fifth wheel?

Odd Rebecca talking about Kate's first tooth (eating), Randall's first words (intellect), and Kevin's first steps(athletic). I mean, not intentional but . . .



I totally noticed that. Poor Kate, but all of them pigeon-holed. Yikes.

Why would there be any connection between the OB in LA and the old doctor in Pennsylvania?

I think ya'll are trying too hard to tie things together. Maybe that young doctor meets Toby and Kate (through Madison) and helps connect them to an adoptable child?

I do not think it was "unintended" that Rebecca mentioned baby Kate's first tooth (obese), Randall's first word (smart), and Kevin's first step (athletic). I didn't make the connection at the time I heard it, but I did wonder why she mentioned Kate's "first tooth" since all of them would have had teeth by their first bithday, but not all would have walked or spoken (given normal child development).

Those writers are always being crafty.

I don't want a dead baby that comes back to life. I watch Days of Our Lives and have enough of that.

Old doctor said he danced at his daughter's wedding, otherwise I would think the young Dr was his kid. But also, the big 3 were 1 year old when the Dr talked about dancing at the wedding, right? So his kids would be 20+ years older than the big 3.

There is a theory floating around that he is Kyle. Sounds ridiculous at first, but hear me out. Not only did he pop onto the scene in the same episode as the doctor who delivered the big 3. It was also the episode where they talked about Kyle. Not sure if I recall them ever really talking about him before? The fact that “Kyle” ends up becoming a doctor also supports the theory that the doc raised him. This would mean that the dr was a very bad guy who steals babies, which would be disappointing. But maybe Kyle was born with some horrific disability and was expected to die within hours, so doctor decided it was better to let them think he was already gone. But then Kyle makes a miraculous recovery but the dr decided to raise him since J&R would not have the financial means to raise a special needs child along with 3 other babies. Or maybe another dr or nurse said he had died and stole him?


I bet he is the child of the old doctor but I think he it too old to be Kyle. And man, that would be awful.


Old doc said he lost his first child ( a boy right?). Could young doc be old doc's son that he thought was dead? Still soap opera-sh but better than old doc stealing Kyle from Jack and Rebecca.

I could see him as a lost brother stand-in, but Kyle being suddenly alive would move us firmly into soap opera territory - even more than we were with long lost brother/uncle Nicky. Not sure how this Doc and his daughter tie in, but they made a point of giving the girl a name - Sadie. So I don't think they are throwaway characters.

Ha ha! I'm the PP - you are so right. I feel like Kate and Beth are the only young to mature characters they've gotten right. Young Kevin is spot on but teenage Kevin, not so much. I don't think any version of the Randalls, whatever the shade, is a good match for adult Randall. But young Randall and teen Randall have more facial features in common - teen Randall to adult Randall - like, what happened to his chin and nose?



But they make up for it with Beth, amirite? Omg. I could swear teen Beth is the same actress filmed years ago. So perfect.

That's an interesting theory, could be. My theory is that Madison ends up with her OB--otherwise it's strange they showed him and some of his backstory. I think Kevin ultimately ends up with Sophie, the love of his life and the only one he really has chemistry with.

My other theory: poor overlooked Miguel drops dead prematurely, Rebecca forms a bond with Nicky over time and ultimately marries him. I can't think of any other explanation for the close shot of Nicky's wedding ring.

Yeah - this would be very icky. Also, she's already not entirely mentally competent, so double ick. Kevin has made a concerted effort to include Nicky in the family, and we know that Nicky's addition of the 5lbs of shrimp to the traditional Pearson family Thanksgiving (or was it Christmas?) carries through the next generation - Baby Jack was setting it out in his apartment in the future - so I think it's safe to say Nicky would have been close enough to the family to be at Rebecca's deathbed. If he was her husband, why would they be at Kevin's house? Why wouldn't Kevin set her up in a house with her husband?

I think Nicky's wife will be someone that both he and Jack knew. They have two more seasons. Nicky will get his story told.

Some people are thinking that Rebecca thinks he is Jack so he is going along with it, even wearing Jacks wedding ring. She made a comment when she met him about him having Jacks eyes or something like that, so it might have been foreshadowing.
