Don't you sort of assume when you have small children that at some point an article of clothing is likely to go missing? It's sort of par for the course with kids that age. That is why you buy cheap (and multiple) swimsuits, especially before a beach trip.
And even if you expect something to be returned when it was accidentally taken, you don't get to make unreasonable demands that it be returned at 10 at night, requiring nearly a 2 hour round trip.

Wow. This is insane. I would gladly pay someone $30 so they could buy themselves two target swimsuits instead of driving in the middle of the night with a baby and a seven year old. The woman is crazy. Just ask for her paypal account and send her the money. If she has amazon prime, she can get a next day delivery at the beach. Don't give it another thought.

Want to know how I can tell there are a lot more entitled people on here than anyone is willing to own up to? The amount of people (I assume seriously) suggesting that this woman UBER a fucking bathing suit an hour away. I don't even think I would Uber MYSELF an hour away, much less a bathing suit.

The mistake was noticed hours earlier. The exchange was not immediate but the mom wanted it hours later. She wanted to finish packing and have care for her kids. Its ok OP dragged her kids out but not the mom. Mom could have easily gone to target or walmart and replaced it. OP return the suit on monday. problem solved.

If my kid's suit got taken by another kid, I'd be like, "Damn. Gotta go get a new suit. What a drag." I can't imagine calling someone to try to find it much less expecting someone to drive it back to me. I'm a public school teacher, not wealthy. Who has time to go all Nancy Drew on a suit from Target?
