It was Covid and Trump’s policy of forcing people to work at home. That policy crushed gas and oil demand. Wells shut down, declined in production and new wells were not drilled. Russian sanctions had little to do with it.

Sanctions were a choice.
War with Iran was also a choice and that’s what’s currently doubling prices.

Exactly. COVID, that Trump mismanaged, broke the supply chains, the impact of which was seen in the late fall 2020 and into 2021 and 2022. Again, Trump was president in 2020, not Biden.
