+1
Cheesy and waaaaay overhyped. The "music" gives me a headache.

Ah, repeating your screeds from the thread about Kate's hair, I see. There's something about nice, normal women that really gets under your skin, isn't there?

Not sure who you're talking about, but I'd support Kate if she got off her butt and started working, or developed a real passion, just do something, anything. There's nothing "normal" about a woman with five homes and multiple international vacations within eight months. She told us she stopped chemo over a year ago, and her three children are now all in school full-time. She has a great platform to really make a difference--Diana knew that and Camilla talks about violence against women. Imagine being a royal for 14 years, and all anyone can talk about is your hair.

It's so funny how upset this nice, normal woman makes you.

The fight song sounds strange with commanders shoehorned in

That said, I just say I grew up a fan of the Washington team. Because the team name WAS racist.

The Chicks also sounds odd, but I respect them for removing any tie to the racist and traitorous confederacy from their name.

We’ve only seen it on Disney+

And I only thought it was ok. I’ve enjoyed other musicals more.

I’m not paying for it

I dunno about universally popular since we all went to catholic schools and U2 was very very popular. Joshua tree is one of my favorite albums- basically everything they did through Achtung baby is great but like I said- it hits different if your are steeped in Irish catholic culture and I grew up in Montgomery county MD.

Bono was raised Protestant, right? But yes we Irish Americans love us some peak era U2. Went to see them with my proudly Irish American dad around the time of Joshua Tree, and he was belting out the words to nearly every song.

Xennial men from south of the Mason Dixon line who know way too much about REM but are not into music in any other way are a specific genre of loser.

As a musical, Moana was better than Hamilton.

I think Blake Shelton is closeted gay.

I can’t stand the Lumineers. They have “one song” and it sounds like they set out to write the soundtrack of the kids book “Where the Wild Things Are”. Great book, lousy repetitive song.

I prefer both of those to the new “talk singing’ lean in close and hear me whisper thing a lot of female singers have going on right now. I think it started with Taylor, but it has spread.

Michael Jackson shouldn't get as much of a pass as he does.

I miss when everyone watched popular tv shows and talked about them the next morning and along the same lines, I miss sitcoms. And mini series (although, they have made a slight come back).

I think too many books are being written with the hope of becoming a movie adaptation.
