I don't care. I'm still waiting for the BSC players to move to FVU.
They may as well if they want to actually get on the field and play. That BSC roster is huge!

Maybe next time Brave won’t fire such coaches to keep a Brave coaching staff. Sounds pretty shortsighted…
20 plus players have left FVU including some of the top players from 2011, 2010, 2009, and 2008/07. There is a reason why the BRAVE leadership has had more last place finishes than champions league appearances on both the girls and boys side. You can’t fix stupid.
Lol! you mean they tried to take that many players but not everybody drank the koolaid, including the 2 hour commute and 25+ rosters!
I’m a current Union parent. Not all players left for Bethesda. Players left for VDA, Arlington, NVA, MD United, as well as Bethesda.
It was a poor decision not to bring back the coaches but we move on and hope for a good season.
Union didn’t lose actual coaching talent, but the optics were bad. If it was JUST the players leaving to Bethesda, they’d be fine. It’s losing players on top of that to VDA, Arlington, NVA, etc. that is damaging.
Players leave clubs every year for other clubs or teams. There's a reason there's a tryout period for everybody. This regular movement always occurs in all clubs. But bad optics is the shady shenanigans by BSC once players were already committed and right at season start.
Typically clubs keep their better coaches and get rid of the ones that don’t do well. Typically clubs don’t get rid of coaches that make it to Richmond. Typically after a year when 100 percent of players/parents from a team going through the college process says they will not return if a certain coach (MV) is coaching again, clubs don’t promote that person to ECNL Director. Typically clubs don’t need to lie about who will be the coach at tryouts.
Yep keep blaming Bethesda for your problems and then you wonder why there is a mass exodus of talent. Typically clubs don’t need to beg the ECNL to step in to stop players from leaving if they actually had something worth staying for.
And typically people are honest, but not here. It was known in early Spring which coaches were out so this was long before playoffs and Richmond. 100% of players did not indicate that as clearly many more chose to stay than go. All coaching slates were known before tryouts (but for 09s the head coach & asst coach were flipped later). Investigations into violations is ECNLs prerogative.
You are the dishonest one. ECNL only did the investigation because FVU leadership are cowards and have nothing to sell. The coaching slates for FVU were known but the coaches that the majority of parents wanted (as well as CW) did not have a club at tryouts.
It is not dishonest to change teams so stop with that nonsense. FVU would have added any player in tryouts that was good enough for the team as they don’t have limits on number of players they could add. Any club should be able to deal with 3 players leaving.
If you didn't like the coach, you shouldn't have signed up. This is the problem with VA soccer. You sign up for a club and not the coach. If all these players knew they were leaving, then why not decline the offer?
But they said who was coaching them and it wasn't NM or ML.
Right. They committed and now regret it. Fine. They should pay for the year and pay the fee for a replacement player and then they can be on their way.
Pay the fee for a replacement player? Hahahaha. How about you stop telling other parents what to do with their children. The SYC parents on FVU/Union have always been WAY too involved.
They made a commitment for the year. They can pay their way out of it if they don’t want to honor it.

Move on, hes got a position of power oh well, is what it is, and yet you just complain about him anonymously, constantly. Doubt there a multiple active haters for a guy who is just happy to be there. Leave the club and STFU; or if you've left already find a new hobby nobody is defending the poor guy, let it be. Be a better person.

Brave 2010s when to the playoffs, too. Just stop hating. Brave was forced to save Virginia Union from folding. And FVU 2010s went to the elite 8. You just hate the club and now I'm wondering if you wish all these kids would all fail just to make you feel superior. Grow a pair and move on.
Brave saved VA Union? Reminder before the merger, the 2009 and 2007 Brave girls teams were dead last with about a negative 200 goal differential. The 2008s would have probably followed suit if VA Union didn’t save Brave since the best players ALWAYS leave MV.

I'm so tired of hearing about this.
Bravo! Please everyone move on. All the kids from last years team are good and parents need to refocus on recruiting. Time to drop this. (Not a FVU parent but feel sad for the mess created on this board).
