This will continue in other states as data centers are built and energy is needed. And AI is not going away. Businesses will tailor it to their own needs. Right now it's broad, but it will become more specific to industries.
The Chinese do batteries much better vs Tesla.

The batteries are not necessarily about AI. Utilities are using them instead of using plants for example. It's about energy storage.
But electricity demand was projected out by ev adoption. With that waning, it changes the value proposition
AI uses way more electricity than EVs. Hell even crypto probably uses more.
I’m talking about grid electricity where having your own battery pack is useful.
AI data centers are colocated with power source.
All data centers to date that I am aware of are using grid electricity. There has been talk of colocating with power sources but I don’t think any have actually done it in a way that the power is off grid.
Yes, they are building in poor cities like Memphis where the citizens won't do anything about rolling blackouts to keep the AI power going.
I was thinking they would follow the example of Google data centers but AI is more ruthless market

Tesla Grants Musk $29 Billion in Stock to ‘Keep Elon’s Energies Focused’
The “interim” package announced on Monday was intended to help retain Elon Musk, whose previous pay plan was invalidated by a judge.
Musks and Tesla board are in a mutual hostage situation.
Of course they have nothing without the Musk cult and fanboys boosting the stock and buying cars and dreaming of robots.
And Musk can cripple them by unloading his huge share (and doesn’t he have controlling stock like Facebook)?
He's not allowed to sell it for at least 5 years after he gets it.
