Jumping to capital will guarantee that the team gets dismantled as some girls from stars and pride make it with the SSSA connections and the team gets weaker as result. M&D DC has something that the pride and stars girls never had going in to high school that would be worth the risk of staying. The recruiting track record is much less of a selling point when you are talking about staying with M&D vis the girls fishing staying with Pride or Stars.
The M&D brand is much stronger than Capital and you don't have the politics of the SSSA piece. This may be the team/club that finally give Capital some competition at the HS level in the DC area.

While the M&D name is all they want to win, but make no mistake it is all about the M&D Black team in the end.
Totally. This should not be controversial. Clubs with multiple teams operate this way. For example, if one of the Capital Orange teams started beating Blue they would 100% move players up. It's just the way it works.
And if they don't, an implosion happens and people leave altogether.

I hear you, but would the M&D organization even want a satellite team that rivals its flagship M&D Black? They have spent years building that brand and it sits on the Mount Rushmore of club lacrosse. M&D Black losing to M&D DC is not a good look for the flagship, so if I were running M&D I might consider moving just enough players from DC to Black to make sure it does not happen consistently. That could be done this spring if the matter is urgent, or kept as an option should it become a pervasive issue next couple of years. Paradoxically, great success is the probably the worst thing that could happen to M&D DC because it would all but guarantee their destruction.

Question is will mddc do tryouts before or after capital. And if they go before are they going to demand contract signing before the 14th? Or maybe better, will mddc have tryouts the same night? That way the writing is on the wall on who wants what team…

Possibly! Is that supposed to be a dig? It has a douche tone to it...is your objective to encourage them to Capital or push them away?
