This isn’t really a secret at this point. We heard a while ago the u19s are “imploding” per a girl on the team.

Imploding is overstating it but several U19s are leaving - after them being promoted, and favored, and getting every opportunity they could from the club, and recruited D1.

There are lots of opinions on this depending on your perspective. I will say, though, that people move clubs all the time. So that in an of itself is not a big deal. But usually it is the non-favored players, which isn't the case here.

WC Eagles U19 take 1st place at NCC’s - no surprise there. Freedom beat Spirit of USA for 5th Place - Congrats! Warhawks - 8th Place. Metro - 17th Place.

All teams that made it to NCC are to be congratulated. Not easy to make it to that tournament. Best in the country!!

Next Level tied for 5th at U14 NCCs yesterday. Husel was 17th. Not sure about Freedom but looks like somewhere between 9th-12th. H2O was 21st. All these teams at this level are really impressive and playing against the best in the nation.

Next Level did great! Unlike Warhawks, Freedom, Washington Wolves, they brought a younger team with a lot of U16s to play up to u19. Same with DE Sharks.

I realize your post is an attempt to speak positively about next level but you unknowingly presented some negatives. You also attempted to disparage some other clubs, but this was a u19 event, so it makes sense the roster would be mostly u19 players.

PP here. Im not being negative. Just pointing out a fact about a team that gives some context on why they may have lost. I admired the grit the 19s and 14s from next level showed while playing over the weekend. And my DD does not even play for next level.

Freedom and Warhawks have the strongest players with great at coaching. Taking individual players that are strong but having them function as a unit is why they win. These teams because they have numerous players can put together a strong A team and will continue to dominate the region because of their talent pool and excellent coaching. Must stress the excellent coaching. It’s what makes these teams win.

Wolves have strong individual players (lots of committed kids) but do not work as a unit. This is why they stall out with top teams. Coaching is not strategic and not team based. The motto from the head coach is the players need to figure it out versus coaching staff teaching. They haven’t learned how to space which causes them to throw away many good opportunities. Their goalies are top notch. Again, individually skilled players but no team cohesion. I see this as a core coaching problem that will have them fall in their “elite” status. This team is on a downhill trajectory unless coaching style dramatically changes.

Next Level is on the rise. Since it’s a large club the team can truly have an A team like Freedom and Warhawks. Those players are individually strong but the coaching focuses on stick skills and field vision which leads to good team cohesion. This team will be in the ranks of Freedom and Warhawks soon.

H20 talent is growing similar to Next Level but smaller club feel. They will give the top teams a run the money in the next couple of years.

Alpha has grown too quickly. Although lots of players, they only have a few strong players. Coaching is inconsistent. Lots of yelling from the sidelines. This team is on a downhill trajectory unless a major club overhaul.

Hymax is a small club. Coaching is strong but their player recruitment is hit or miss causing inconsistencies in the overall team. They have potential if their recruitment of players were stronger.
