I dont think theyre going to address custody of the child in this verdict- I think no matter what it is, the child keeps living with her current guardian (bb's mom), right? I mean it's unrelated to this case from a legal/ technical standpoint


Correct, custody comes later. If there is a conviction her grandparents have more standing in that he doesn't get to determine where she lives.
