But most importantly, college coaches told clubs and on Facebook they don't care what age group you are in, just be eligible to go to college and be the best player you can be. And get good grades. College coaches recruit by graduating year but they don't recruit be youth club age groupAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:If the league did not change the brackets from U12, U13, U14 to 7th Grade, 8th Grade, 9th Grade, then this infinity argument is even more ridiculous for continuing
The league says age brackets using month/year
Which morons are still lobbying for same grade teams?
When your kid gets older you'll understand. But hint hint college recruits by graduating year. (not age)

Players will for sure play in their age division. It has zero to do with their grade, it’s a birthdate alignment. Clubs want to win, even if forces kids into wrong grade.

Weren't, still a 12 month window. Benefits goes to oldest not youngestAnonymous wrote:It seems that Q3/4 kis WERE playing up under BY we just didnt know it at the time.
Those kids will now reap the Bennifits.
Not the case in the DMV. The default is playing on age. Technically the oddball, if you want to call it that, will be the special case asking to play up to play on grade without the skills to merit playing up.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Advised to allow = have some case by case flexibility. Aug birthdays can still guest on grade down teams for tournament wins.
Clubs don't have the capacity to collect and police grade info.
You are just rambling the same stuff without any new info.
Back to ignoring what people are telling you again I see...
ECNL wants kids in their age groups [/b]but have advised its clubs to allow grade alignment if that means players have to play up.[/b] They don’t want kids the grade behind playing up if they are not a top 5 player on the older team.
You dont understand that the goal of changing from BY to SY wasnt to allow Aug birthdays tobplay down. The goal was to have all players on a teams the same grade in school (ideally).
"Allow Grade Alignment" is business speak for Aug Sept birthdays play on. the team that's their grade in school. (up or down)
Wording that's a guy who heard from a guy vs. actual ECNL clubs saying it'll be handled differently.
Every month we get closer to Fall you're going to be proven more and more wrong. Just like I said over a year ago if you dont align your kid (assuming you even have an Aug birthday player) they will be at an oddball club that never wins but only because they'll cater to your playjng down nonsese because they cant find any other players.
No. The goal was to have a 12 month window that roughly aligned with school year which varies by state. If they their "goal was to have all players on a teams the same grade in school" they would have gone grade year. They didn't. Move on.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Advised to allow = have some case by case flexibility. Ha-ha ... from a guy who used to say ALL misalgined players would be forced up (or should be or would be secretly)!
They will be or you'll get the pleasure of playing at the club that never wins. If thats your dream so be it. Might as well play town/rec.
