I can’t even imagine getting out of the house. He opened the door and it was like a wall of fire.

I kind of think they get out but he gets drunk or something because he blames himself for the fire and dies in a car accident or suicide. I’m sure imnwrong though.

They needed to expand on the storyline with Beth's role in public housing. It's hard to think of her as a resource when it feels like a fairly new thing to the audience.

When I was 20 and lost my father he had just remarried a few months before his terminal diagnosis. Because it was in the brain, we lost him pretty quickly after a surgery. His wife kept every single thing he brought into his home. I still have difficulty with knowing that my entire childhood, all of our memories, all of his possessions were gone and there was nothing I could do to get them back.

If that had happened because of a house fire. Oh, God. If I thought the PTSD was bad from that, I can't imagine what the the big three go through after.

They had just completed a remodel and the year was 1997. The Big Three are born in 1980, a year before my husband. He remembers stainless steel appliances in peoples home during his high school years. I doubt they hired an inexperienced dramaturge for THIS show.

Which got me thinking... Jack! Necklace!

Help me out...I don't know the movie.

Jack and Rose (Leonardo diCaprio and Kate Winslet) fall in love, Jack draws nude pic of Rose wearing priceless diamond necklace that belongs to her abusive fiancé, Titanic sinks, Jack dies, Rose finds the necklace in her coat pocket after she's rescued.

What does Titanic's Jack and the necklace have to do with This is Us? Maybe Jack's dog tags are in the house and he tries to get them? (I'm not the one that asked above.)

That's what I was thinking (tags in the house) - but I see it was a joke/tongue in cheek. But yeah, the dog tags wouldn't have him going back in. Anyway, Jack/Milo said it's going to be "an absolute soul-crushing event," the actor told Entertainment Weekly of Jack's anticipated death. "Once you figure out the moment where it's going to happen, you may get some hope and then it's all going to go away." "I still say to people, 'Focus on the man's life and don't show me at least how much you're salivating for his death," he said. "I'm like, 'Man, wait 'til people find out this next bit of information that they're going to start to understand about Jack or the family.' God, there's so much still to learn about these people, so I hope people can get the satisfaction of the death and move on and understand it goes even deeper."

Nothing, it was meant tongue-in-cheek.

PP mention of the necklace + titanic was interesting! Weren't the dog tags from his brother? The brother seriously has to come back into the picture at some point.

I assumed the brother was KIA.
