I still don't get how Sansa hasn't been hunted down yet by either Ramsey or Cersei. Seems too impossible to not have happened.

And can someone please remind me what her mission is right now?
Are you even watching the show? I know its confusing but I feel like the last few questions that have been asked, like if you understand that little of why everything is happening why are you watching?
Someone is going to be all, 'why has Arya been hiding her name for so long?' 'who is cersei???'
Wow. You're really mean. I have been watching the show religiously, but I got a little confused about something. Brienne parted ways with Sansa a few episodes ago, and I forgot what she was sent to do. Please don't equate my question with "who is Cersei?"
It must be hard to go through life feeling so mean.
Toughen up, Sansa. Winter is Coming.(Not the PP)

Also, she'd never accept Tyrion as king, because she has zippy influence over him. The only ways for Cersei to "succeed" would be to regain influence with Tommen and maintain his position as king, or win a showdown in Kings Landing and rule it with Jaime as King and Queen. Hey, the Targaryans were accepted with their incestuous marriages, why not some Lannisters? Frankly, Jaime looks tired of fighting. Maybe he'd be satisfied with going home to Casterly Rock.
He is actually of royal blood though. Tommen is not. He has no Baratheon in him so he's got less of a claim than Gendry. The royal line continues with the King no the queen, the only royal blood is Baratheon blood. Which is why R+L = J is such a big deal. Other than the whole, 'possession is nine tenths of the law' thing of course, which Tommen has going for him.
Tyrion has literally NO claim. He was never a royal and isn't even a descendant of a queen.
Gendry is someone who is literally no one, she would be handing him power, and he'd then be indebted to her. Personally I'd take a nobody who's indebted to me over my cult following son who's just hung me out to dry.
What I'm saying is that like Robert Baratheon, Cersei might be thinking she/Jaime could raise army and forcibly take Kings Landing (oust the religious zealots), and crown themselves king and queen.
If there's one thing Cersei won't do its harm her children. I don't think she and Jaime will ever move against Tommen. At least not in a way where he could be put in physical danger.

That part was pretty faithful to the books. There was more to Jaime's threats in the books (having former Tully allies being the first to scale the walls and die when the Lannister army stormed the castle, etc.), but again because of the nature of the medium the show writers had to take some shortcuts.
My questions are:
1) with Jaime at the head of the Lannister army, and the kick-ass Queen of Thorns back at Highgarden, what armies does little King Tommen have at this point? And is Cersei now the head of House Lannister (with Tyrion on the run) or Jaime, now that he's eligible since he's been removed from the Kingsguard?
2) if Cersei gets judged (as Tommen has now declared), won't it come out that Tommen's real father is Jaime, and that therefore Tommen's kingship is illegitimate? And with Stannis (and Shireen) and Renly now dead, who would inherit the Iron Throne? http://mashable.com/2016/05/03/game-thrones-heir/#wB4oYHuWLuqt
One of the 'rumors' people think Cersei might have been discussing with Qyburn is the location of Gendry. He is Robert Baratheon's bastard and therefore has more a claim to the iron throne than Tommen.
Also, of course, they could be discussing Jon Snow, although I doubt that she would risk putting a true Stark on the throne, too risky. But a random blacksmith apprentice? More appealing for sure.
Hmmm. But I thought the little birds (spies) were limited to Kings Landing, so how would they know Gendry's whereabouts? Possible, of course ... that is a messy loose end if they don't tell us what happened to him. Or does the whispering have anything to do with Varys returning to Westeros? My thought was that they found some dirt on the High Sparrow, which would be more Kings Landing-centric.
Anonymous wrote:Another of the "rumors" Cersei may have been discussing with Qyburn is whether there are still stores of wildfire in King's Landing. Cersei may be contemplating burning the Faith Militant out of the city.
This obviously doesn't relate to succession to the Iron Throne if something happened to Tommen, but it's a possible candidate for the myseterious "rumor." I know I'm intrigued; Cersei always has something up her sleeve.
