The hurricane relief should have been passed weeks ago and it’s a travesty that it wasn’t. We give billions to other countries and don’t look after our own law abiding citizens who usually look after themselves but were unlucky enough to be affected by a natural disaster.

I would take that as a sign that the Ds likely won in terms what ended up versus out.

What did the win? Looks to me like they had their fun, realized that their attacks on Musk and Trump weren’t landing and balked at shutting down the government. They did the same thing with the “laddered” CR earlier this year. They talked a good game and then eventually caved.

Man, I’m just going to let you continue being delusional.

The CR stripped out all of the Democrats nonsense and in exchange Trump didn’t get his debt ceiling increase. Only problem is that the debt ceiling request only came after they had a negotiated CR. So what did eventually pass was significantly better for Republicans.

Child Cancer Research is Democratic nonsense?

Apparently Hurricane Helene relief if also "Democrats nonsense" as well.

Lovely of the GOP to give us a preview of their chaos goblin approach to government.

Wait. They tossed out hurricane relief??

No, they didn’t.

Ball is in Democrats’ court now. If the bill fails in the Senate, this sits in their lap.

So that was two days of totally unnecessary stress. Have any of us learned anything? Have any congresspeople learned anything? Anything at all?

The last version that failed had disaster relief stripped out. Thanks the dems and a few repubs, it’s back in the final. But the version Trump and musk wanted—it was stripped out.

Because MAGA children don't get cancer, or something.

Exactly what "democratic nonsense" was stripped out. Please be specific.

Exactly! People blindly believe anything.

But fox told them so

Elon got what he wanted...the ability to build more factories in china.

Why isn't he investing in the US?

What a pointless spectacle for Republicans. But it's a good preview for what the next few years are going to look like under the Musk Administration.

Yup and once again the sane intelligent people say to the MAGAs....enjoy what you voted for.

I believe this is classic “Art of the deal” brinkmanship where he asks for something ridiculous to distract from other concessions. I don’t know if there were other elements changed in their interests, but that was probably the intent.

They claim Trump does similar 3 dimensional cues regards tariffs as grenades thrown into negotiations.

Well it worked so well for him as a “businessman” why not do it now? No one would dare to call his bluff. Trump is checked down Charlie. No prison time that is all he cares about.

Musk as the leader on this. Trump did not know what was happening till late in the games.
