America is not a nation of immigrants. Immigrants have decided to come to an established nation. This is a nuance but important. Not all Americans are descendant from immigrants. Does our history not matter?

Even the Navajo immigrated from Canada around 1500. I don’t know if PP is African-American descended from slaves —- I know many do not consider that immigration because it was involuntary.
The R rhetoric on immigration is eerie because it could be take almost word for word from what people said about my Irish forbears when they came by the millions to avoid starvation, or my Italian forbears when they came by the millions to flee a failed state. It’s almost word for word with a lot of these accusations.
