I can't blame him for taking their money if they're willing to give it to him! What blows my mind is that GFR thought it was in their best interest to hire a guy who was already working for another club and let him continue to work there! I heard that they fired their previous technical director mid-season last year so they had an urgent need but it seems like it wasn't just to finish out the season because he's still there (according to their website). Apparently, his DMV FC teams merged into GFR so maybe it was purely about the added revenue stream.

5. VRSC GA (Small gap in talent between top 4 and VRSC, likely GA Playoff team, Good Coach, Club is still unproven and political)

Can you explain what you mean by politics when you mention Union and NVA?
Are there no politics with VDA? Are you not concerned that VDA have got worse over the year?


What are the politics at VDA?


There are none because the new ECNL Director doesn't play around.

There is zero concern with VDA getting worse over the last year, they're the only ECNL club (as a whole across all their teams) that got better from last year to this year, which was largely due to them winning the FCV lottery. FCV was the top GA club in the area, it imploded and 95% of the players, not on the 06/07 team, left. A good chunk went to VRSC and a some/most of the top tier players went to VDA.


The concern should be the only way VDA can get better is by recruiting players. If I’m a young player at VDA (2011 or 2012) or vsa or pwsi, I would be concerned that the best players for every age group have barely played for VDA.


I don’t see many 2012 or 2011 girls leaving their current ECNL team to go to VDA. Curios if there are any 2012 or 2011 GA or RL girls that will be brought in.


Where would 2011 players go? Aside from Arlington. NVA and Union are bad and behind VDA and Arlington.
oh ur thinking very small and short sighted…. 2011s will scatter in the wind with new teams as the age changes take place and teams split. Probably another reason nva would be ok going to ga. Cant hurt the teams any worse

Vienna did NOT lose their ECNL charter, they never had one! Vienna partnered with BRYC who had the ECNL charter to form BRAVE.

VA Union was going to lose their charter based on their weak boy side.

The new partnership was meant to strengthen the clubs and eliminate one ECNL charter in an area where the talent is stretched thin.

VDA beat FVU in conference cup based off the performance in September prior to the storm. FVU has throughly dominated them in the last 2 and half games since.
