it takes 2 and half hours to get all the way down so they were pretty far. does seem to point to a breach.

It takes an hour for the sub to travel a mile??

well its more like 2 miles. but yes. it doesn't have like a great big motor or something. small propellor

2.5 hours about 2 miles under the surface, so just over a mile per hour.

Someone at the surface had to wind it up from the back real good after locking the 17 hatches before sending them down so after awhile it slows down and speed decreases

I think I read the whole mission would've been 8-10 hrs. So the 2 1/2 was for the descent (and ascent).

That’s what makes the most sense but the alleged tapping sound throws that theory out. So either the tapping is something else or wasn’t ever really there or they didn’t implode from a breach because they couldn’t be tapping if their vehicle imploded them

The tapping is most likely coming from the Titanic
