Being freshmen or new is an early excuse, but At this point freshmen are basically sophomores….

I’m a Saints parent and all I can say is that it was a great game. Congrats to PVI.

My bad (I actually watched the wrong PVI vs. Saints game). PP is correct score was PVI 13 - SSSA 4.

PVI beat St. Stevens today, 13-4. Score was 2-2 when PVI scored 10 straight goals.

PVI best St. Catherine’s on Tuesday, 20-9.

So which is it? That’s a pretty big discrepancy.

These coaches get paid peanuts for the amount of work they do and the parents are pretty tough. I feel for them.

BI had it for several years. Saints obviously has it. SR now has it and GC has also had it for a number of years. PVI is also now there. Leads to very strong programs with lots of depth and healthy JV teams. To be successful, teams need talent at all 4 grades not just a couple. And you can see it when teams take the field. HCs draw talent and build it.

The former BI head coach also ruined a very talented Pride team, though she had some help from KMG.

These high school coaching jobs are tough —little pay, significant time commitment, high expectations and demanding parents. Tough to find someone smart and skilled to take those jobs unless they 1) love it; or 2) benefit in some other way, e.g., club program.
