Fair warning. The equal playing time at Capital gets reduced in summer tourneys as coaches try to figure out who will be staying with the team next year.
Wrong. Never saw this happen once during all three years our DD played for Capital. It was always equal, often at the expense of winning close games but for the bigger goal of maximizing the number of team recruits.

I mean ideally, this is what you want, but not all teams have that depth, certainly don't have 90 plus kids trying out for them last summer.
Our team is loaded with kids who either failed to develop or are hanging on, equal PT is tough to watch.
Tough to watch for you - maybe - I’m sure those weaker players are getting better and your team will benefit as a whole down the road. Playing well as a team during sophomore summer is the goal - what happens freshman year does not matter.

We have an unbalanced teams, prob a few top-20 D1 players, some kids who are low D1 then some that may not even play D3, so it really leads to up and down games or even blown leads.
Seems like more clubs are going this route. Capital plays like this as well. Probably less headaches for the coaches because they don’t have parents complaining about playing time if everyone plays equal. Agree that it’s tough to watch if you blow “winnable” games as a result.
