If true, that would be about 9,000 Russian soldiers encircled.

If true, then Zelenskyy will soon be in a position to ask Putin to surrender.

Unfortunately, that’s not possible given the shoot has the nuclear option. But that’s why sanctions need to stay.

Lol, the Russians have already been doing that throughout Ukraine. There's been lots of credible reports and accusations. Can't blame things on the TikTok Chechens now.

On Monday, the Security Service of Ukraine uploaded a post on social media, claiming that the hardcore Chechen soldiers' primary task, as ordered by senior Russian army officials, is to shoot dead every Russian soldier that tries to surrender.

The Ukrainian security intelligence officers claimed the Chechen army has suffered "numerous losses" and called them "TikTok troops" as they have posted footage on social media.

The Security Service said: "'Lice' Russian soldiers, 'fence squads' and numerous losses: how the Kadyrovites are actually fighting in Ukraine.

"Russian propaganda shapes their image as a formidable force capable of carrying out any of Putin's tasks. But in 26 days of war, Ukrainian soldiers have shattered this myth."

The Service added: "The Kadyrovites are now called 'TikTok troops' because of their love of stage commercials.

Adding: "The main task of the Kadyrovites is to 'clean up' and kill Russian soldiers fleeing the battlefield.

"That is, they perform the function of 'charge squads' and shoot at their own.

"Although they do not consider the Russians "theirs", they call them "lice" and are happy to kill them."

What a barbaric f***ing army. Worse, barbaric and feeble.

Barbaric?

m’eh, I’d be doing the exact same thing right here if the Chinese army was invading Bethesda. I’d be sniping, back-shooting and murdering wounded or surrendering troops until I got myself killed - and since you might as well give yourselves up for dead already in that scenario, there’s really no point *not* to. I’m not even a bit ashamed to say so.

I think you read that wrong. These are Russians (or Chechens) shooting Russians who surrender or flee combat.

This is nothing new. Russians did the same thing in WWII to their soldiers. They had machine guns behind their soldiers so when they gave the command “charge” the Russians went forward. Other shot their own soldiers who did not advance.

US also did this type of thing; in the south, during civil war. They had their own patrols for confederate deserters.

I agree, the Ukrainians have every right to get medieval on any invaders.

+1. The Russians/Chechens are shooting their own. They are the barbarians.

You’re wrong.

Russia has be using Iskandr-M hypersonic missiles since the first day of the war. The one used Saturday to destroy the military facility in western Ukraine was an air-launched variant previously unused outside of prototype testing.

It destroyed an underground weapons depot with $400 million dollars worth of US supplied weapons, including virtually all of the recently delivered switchblade drones, as well as most of the stingers and javelins. The missile attack also killed ~ 700 Ukrainians and foreign volunteers.

Did it really destroy one? I thought that was debunked.

Russia seems to have poorly maintained trucks with bad tires that get stuck or fall apart. What do I know? But I am skeptical they did destroy a depot. They are going after easy targets like unarmed civilians.

Not sure. Reports say “ Russia claims” so who knows what’s true.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-uses-hypersonic-missiles-strike-ukraine-arms-depot-2022-03-19/
