That’s just…. Amazing

But he buried the lede which is that this came from the state Department of Education, illustrating perfectly (regardless of its political valence) the problem with calling our current K-12 educational establishment “the experts”

I think actually it just proves the point that perhaps everyone at the state level in Florida is a wee bit compromised.

You should research former Senator Richard Russell (D-Georgia) and his legacy.

The Russell Senate Office Building is STILL named after him.

Anytime you want to ACT, feel free.

Lol.

And to the fascist whining about the Dahl books: the old versions will also be available. You can’t even pretend it’s “censorship” when the owners of the book rights have chosen to alter the books themselves and when the old versions will still be sold. You’re just a whiner who wants to both sides because you’re aware that the actions you support are the same undertaken by the Nazis.

Could you please identify the liberals that are responsible for either the Dahl or Suesse books? Why are you accepting blame for something done by others?

The UK firm Inclusive Minds.

Inclusive Minds is not responsible because it has no ownership or control of the books.

What a slap in the face too. I went to college for 6 years so I could do this job. but, I guess parents are better at it. ok then.

Uneducated, vituperative parents with an axe to grind. How could they possibly make poor decisions? /s

A lot of books in middle school are probably not appropriate. Nearly every adult fiction book of the action/suspense type like David Baldacci, Lee Child, John Grisham, Tom Clancy will have a sex scene or two.

The families and/or estates of Seuss and Dahl were involved in those cases. It’s no different than a film director making changes to get a PG-13 rating instead of an R.

We don't repaint fine paintings do we. That's the comparator.

“We” don’t but the people responsible for them do. Like George Lucas releasing new versions of Star Wars.

Classical sculptures and painting were often censored by subsequent generations.
