You dont understand that the goal of changing from BY to SY wasnt to allow Aug birthdays tobplay down. The goal was to have all players on a teams the same grade in school (ideally).
"Allow Grade Alignment" is business speak for Aug Sept birthdays play on. the team that's their grade in school. (up or down)
Wording that's a guy who heard from a guy vs. actual ECNL clubs saying it'll be handled differently.
Every month we get closer to Fall you're going to be proven more and more wrong. Just like I said over a year ago if you dont align your kid (assuming you even have an Aug birthday player) they will be at an oddball club that never wins but only because they'll cater to your playjng down nonsese because they cant find any other players.
Ha-ha ... from a guy who used to say ALL misalgined players would be forced up (or should be or would be secretly)!
They will be or you'll get the pleasure of playing at the club that never wins. If thats your dream so be it. Might as well play town/rec.

Yay, RAE guy can still get his plastic trophies.
I dont agree and there's studies that show in America because of p2p club soccer. Rae isn't that much of a factor.

Any Aug kid will be able to find a club to play on grade if need be. Will it be the level OR playing time they want? It depends how good their soccer is and being the youngest it'll have to be. If they aren't happy with the answer, they MAY find playing on age the better option for them. Either way, they are privileged to have options where 90-95% are going to the new age group with other summer birthdays misaligned having no options!
At top clubs August birthday options will be.
1. Play on your grade in school A team
2. Play on your grade in school B team
3. Play somewhere else
Trust me, bro.

Bolded for your pleasure. But I'll c+p Because age guy it trying to ignore what is being said
"have advised its clubs to allow grade alignment if that means players have to play up.They don’t want kids the grade behind playing up"
What does friends have to do with club travel soccer?
Which coach of a high performing team wants lesser players forced upon them because of play-dates
That is what the correct grade in school B team is for.
I dont agree but it doesn't matter because clubs wont allow Aug birthdays playing down on A teams.
Clubs will say that your kid didn't make an A team but they're welcome to play on the grade down B team or grade correct B team. They know which one you'll choose.
