Except for the reports that B Team misaligned players are practicing with the younger A team at clubs in top tier leagues AND all the ECNL clubs who said they're going case-by-case and even one who said grade has no impact at all.

So nobody forced to play on grade, it could be an option for some clubs letting players play up with friends on lower level teams. This has already been covered in club postings. Nothing new.

What does friends have to do with club travel soccer?
Which coach of a high performing team wants lesser players forced upon them because of play-dates

That is what the correct grade in school B team is for.

Most will pick A team on age.

Clubs will say that your kid didn't make an A team but they're welcome to play on the grade down B team or grade correct B team. They know which one you'll choose.
