Would Treasury not require their own internal investigation given he used his Treasury firearm?
If he is considered law enforcement, I’m having trouble understanding why he wasn’t required to provide a statement of events. Especially given he freely admitted to shooting Joe with his Treasury firearm.
(Apologies if this has been addressed already.)
This was covered in testimony, he refused to speak with Fairfax. The internal investigation did not require testimony. He appeared at a hearing for Juliana but would not even confirm he was married to Christine. Last week he claimed that he planned to testify at Juliana’s trial. Before she took the plea.
For those that knew him, what do you think of his letters to JPM? Sincere or another long con?
But he certainly suggested in the stand no one asked him and that is why he was telling the story for the first time.

Miller is the re-assigned detective who made the report about the devices that concluded Christine would have been the source of the fetlock and telegram activity. He made this conclusion based on digital returns that showed the activity was done from her devices only when she was home.
There was internal dissent over this because the catfish theory had already emerged. Miller is still employed with the department as far as I know.
On the stand Carroll left a question way too open ended and instead of just asking whether the digital data changed, he just generally asked if anything changed. And Miller said something like “yes, the co-defendant testified that they were the ones using the devices.” So then Carroll quickly said something like “well okay but the data didn’t change, right” and Miller said no but you can only establish that a device did something and you can’t put a person behind a device without outside corroboration which now we have.
None of these are exact quotes obviously
SF is the victim services coordinator with FCPD who arranged the hotel room for Brendan, Juliana, and the child that night and Juliana and the child were waiting in their office too. Carroll brought her in because she is apparently a catfish theory truther, having become aware of some info that day/night and testifying that she had serious concerns for the child’s safety from the beginning (very valid, in my opinion. I was extremely concerned for the physical safety of the child every day that Brendan was out between the murders and his arrest). There were some text exchanges between her and others basically showing their belief in the catfish theory. I get what Carroll was trying to do, but imo because he was kind of disorganized and asking extremely open ended questions, it didn’t work out at all.
Thank you! So interesting.

According to the CW, on the stand the other day was the first time he told that whole story. I don’t know if I would say he didn’t give ANY statement though, for example I’m pretty sure on the 911 call and/or bodycam he says stuff like I shot him, he was stabbing my wife. I don’t remember exactly what he said on which one, but he definitely said stuff.
Soon after that he must have lawyered up and given very minimal statements/explanations besides whatever he had already said. He was driving for Uber to make money while Juliana was in jail. I would assume if he did not give any statements (that added up) he would have been on unpaid admin leave pretty quickly. But even if he did still get his salary, imo it would be pretty tight to pay all their bills plus lawyer bills but I guess that’s where Tess comes in. Christine could have had life insurance but what happens with that when there’s such an investigation? I’m not sure.
I think if he had told that story or even half of it on record anywhere before, the CW case would be somewhat different and stronger (so even if he does appeal or has a hung jury here, I think the evidence would be more overwhelming next time because of this statement).
During the testimony the CW basically said he listened to the CW's evidence throughout the whole trial and then crafted his story around it for his testimony.

or his daughter for that matter. He speaks a lot about how he has never had a connection with anyone like he does with JM. How deranged to not just get a divorce and choose murder.
