Why would Jen be congratulated? Her son and his fiancé sure. But jen? No one called my parents to congratulate them about me. That’s weird. She’s not part of the marriage.

People congratulate parents of kids who marry and also congratulate parents of kids who have babies. It’s not weird.

Jen Hatmaker is a shallow woman’s idea of what an empowered, successful, content woman is.

Women of real character realize this pretty quickly and bolt. She used to be a lot better at hiding the grift but nowadays she doesn’t even try.

The women who remain are the corneaters to be exploited.

Know what will make Jen even more manic? Having to look good next to Tina as “mother of the groom” and “stepmother of the groom” on the family row together at the wedding. Gavin is a respectful young man and loves his mom very much. But he also adores his dad and Tina. Gavin and his fiancé would save themselves much headache by eloping.
