Scheller clarified to The New York Times the investigation involved the House Ethics Committee.
It is hard to understand how the Ethics Committee thinks they have more investigatory tools than the DOJ.
Reminder that DOJ didn't think Greenberg's testimony was credible.

Oops.
“A Florida Republican lobbyist’s attempt to sue the young woman at the center of the Rep. Matt Gaetz underage sex trafficking scandal has backfired in spectacular fashion, with the woman filing a response that repeatedly accuses the lobbyist of raping her.
Christopher Dorworth, a real estate developer whose brief yet meteoric rise in the Florida state legislature—where he was once the House speaker-designate—came to a sudden halt when he failed to be re-elected in 2012.”

Greenberg was a one man walking crime machine as soon as he got elected. I mean, he spent taxpayer money on tons of equipment to mine crypto then was using the county office building to do it and SET IT ON FIRE. I think Gaetz’s rumored crimes are terrible but they don’t compare to everything this guy was doing (and btw the Florida AG was totally ignoring.)
But they only let people be informants if the criminals they are reporting on have done bigger things. So, I don't know, Gaetz may be in serious trouble?
I think Greenberg had sh|t on a lot more people than just Gaetz. The prosecutions of the people who were hiring the ghost candidates who were diluting the Democratic vote in downballot races in Florida came out of his cooperation, too. And possibly stuff we don’t know about yet.
Greenberg’s lawyer says there are 7 or 8 men who should be facing charges in the s{x trafficking case that have not been indicted yet.
