House is deciding whether to draw up articles of impeachment. If they do so, the Senate holds a trial presided over by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. That’s when Trump can offer a defense.

I hate the lying. It terrifies me that people will believe him. It terrifies me and sickens me that people are willing to go along with his lies. I think he's degraded communication and - obviously - trust, overall. It's awful. It's dangerous. I hate it.

I guess you don't personally mind the president lying to you several times a day every day. Perhaps not under oath, but as Lindsey Graham said, a president need not commit a crime to have an impeachable offense. In this case, Trump has committed a crime, has lied about it and has tried to cover it up. Add that to the 12,000 documented lies he has told during his presidency.


Oh, he’s also now threatened a whistleblower with death. What a horrible person he is; he’s not fit to work the kitchen in the federal pen let alone occupy the highest office in the land. He’s a less sympathetic character than Tony Soprano. Everyone was sad when that show ended. We’ll be relieved when this one finally does.
