It must be because UVA is one of the most unattractive campuses I’ve ever seen. I just don’t get the love for that one. Good school, but definitely not a beautiful campus.

If you just drive through UVA, it doesn't give the best impression. You have to walk around the Lawn area.

I was at UVA this week for orientation. Campus is beautiful.

I know the campus is referred to as grounds and students are first year, second year etc. rather than freshman, sophomore. Just using the word campus here for consistency.

As an Amherst College student, I really hope you're referring to UMass. Dunking on Val (the dining hall) is practically a national pastime here.

Exactly my taste.

Miami of Ohio (exquisite)

Wellesley (heavily wooded—felt like Robin Hood would drop out of a tree at any moment)

Richmond (very clean and well-maintained; spouse said “This is what a college SHOULD look like”)

Indiana (trees perfectly interspersed with nice buildings)

Texas Tech & Oklahoma State (surprisingly)

Princeton was always my favorite, especially in the Fall.

Caltech has a wonderful campus. I envy anyone who can study there.

Cambridge in the UK was clearly the nicest I've seen. In the U.S. Yale and Princeton are the closest, perhaps along with Chicago. I also really liked Stanford, William and Mary, and Colorado.
